During the holy month of Ramadan, Helping Little Angels is making every effort to ensure your donations get to those who need them most.
Our Pakistan team will be distributing food parcels and iftar food packs to the poor throughout the month of Ramadan.
Blessed last 10 Nights
Laylat al-Qadr
“The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.” [Qur’an 97:3]
Laylat al-Qadr, also referred to as the Night of Power or the Night of Decree, the most blessed nights of the year. This night can be found in the last ten nights, specifically the odd nights. On this night, every reward is multiplied. Many Muslims around the world increase their worship, prayers and acts of kindness including giving to charity throughout these nights in the hope to catch Laylat al-Qadr.
“Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair. Peace! it is until the break of the morning.” [Qur’an 97: 1-5]
You can automate your donations, zakat or sadaqah, throughout the last ten days. Donate whatever you can – to support orphans and those in greatest need.
Our Ramadan Projects
Ramadan… the greatest blessing upon our Ummah
Support our Ramadan projects by donating your Zakat and Sadaqah to feed orphans, vulnerable children, widows, and needy families in Pakistan.
Iftars for the Poor
Last year, with your donations, we distributed iftar food packs to over 7000 poor people throughout the blessed month of Ramadan. This year, with your help, we hope to feed even more!
The Prophet (saw) said, ‘Whoever feeds a person breaking his fast will earn the same reward as him, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person.’ [Tirmidhi]
Feeding the poor is a beautiful way to give your Zakat or Sadaqah. There are various ways you can give to open and close the fasts of poor people in Pakistan.
Giving Zakat
Zakat, or almsgiving, is one of the pillars of Islam; an obligation on Muslims who meet the necessary criteria of wealth to give 2.5% of their wealth to the poor and needy every year.
The literal meaning of the word is ‘to cleanse’. As Muslims we believe paying zakat purifies, increases, and blesses the remainder of our wealth. This should not be considered as a burden, but rather as a blessing.
We have a 100% zakat donation policy, and the zakat is distributed to those who meet the criteria to receive it.
Your zakat will enable us to continue to provide the best support and care for the 83 orphaned children we raise and care for, as well as widows and vulnerable families.
Giving Sadaqah
All the Sadaqah we collect and distribute is subject to a 100% donation policy
Eid al-Fitr
When Ramadan ends, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr after a month of intense worship for the sake of Allah (swt).
While we celebrate with our loved ones, we shouldn’t forget about the poor who rely on our donations.
Our main Cause
Helping Little Angels is a dream of a lady who intended to contribute for the welfare of children and women after observing their poor condition during her visit of her birthplace in Lahore. Mrs. Shamim Mahmood decided to establish an orphanage for young children at Lahore…..
