Schools and Education

Supporting our children to accomplish their aspirations.

Every child has the right to education. Our efforts are directed in remote areas in Pakistan to ensure children from deprived backgrounds receive quality education and a chance to realise their potential and change their lives for the better.

Sargodha School

Our school is entirely run on your donations.

Located in a destitute village just outside the city of Sargodha, we currently educate 170 children at primary level – up to the age of 10 years. As the families in the village are extremely poor, we not only provide free education, but also supply uniforms, books, and stationery to all the children. The parents are incredibly grateful for the work we do, all thanks to your generosity.

Looking ahead, our single-story building has the potential to be extended with a second floor added to teach older children. Adding a high school will allow current children to continue studying with us and not have to travel far away to continue their studies.

Brarkot School

We established this school in 2006 after the devastating earthquake which significantly impoverished the region. At the time, there was no other school in the area leaving children with no access to local education.

Brarkot School offers three-tier education – primary, secondary and sixth form/college. The sixth form is known as Brarkot College for Girls – the first of its kind in the area.

From their earliest years in education, our children stay with us all the way until the age of 18 before going on to further education.

The school provides uniforms, books and stationery to the children who can’t afford to buy these. Our high-quality education has earned us a distinguished and trustworthy reputation in the area. Due to the generosity of our donors, parents are filled with gratitude for the life-changing opportunities we provide their children. We even have a waiting list for children.

We are always thinking about the future and how we can benefit as many children in the area as possible. Looking ahead, we have the capacity to build more classrooms, allowing 300-400 more children to join us.

Girls Education

Our team works tirelessly to ensure that both boys and girls have equal access to a good education.

Traditionally, in rural areas, there is less importance placed on girls’ education by parents. Instead of attending school, girls often stay at home to take care of their siblings or help their mothers. This often leads to girls getting married at a young age, leaving them in a vulnerable position with no education to fall back on later in life.

We have an incredible proactive team in Pakistan who make visits to nearby rural areas and engage with the local community, teaching them the benefits of education for both boys and girls.

Enabling Our Children to Thrive

It is precisely this continuous effort by our team over the years that has led to most of the pupils in the sixth form being girls. It became known as Brarkot College for Girls, as it was mainly girls who were enrolling. We now have many boys continuing from high school to the sixth form.

It makes us immensely proud to say many of the children who leave at the age of 18, go on to study further and have established careers in medicine, engineering, the armed forces, teaching, and technology. Some of the girls have even completed teacher training and returned to Brarkot School as teachers.

This is how we know our work is benefiting the local community as we continue to enable children to have a route to success.

Your donations mean everything to these children.

Please support us to change a child’s life.
